The brand of my sink has this king of letters.

This is an old pharmacy in Madrid, near to Opera Metro. It looks like the propietary wanted to show that the place is old.

The telephone of my house uses bit letters.

Bus timetable.




A bus timetable is changing constantly its information. Digital letters are good for that.

Informative panel.




The letters of this panes have serif, what is quite inusual for bit letters. The panel changes every minute showing diverse information. In the picture you can appreciate the RGB color mode.

Mobile phone advertisment.




The use of a bit type for a phone company it´s a good choice.

This clock changes ans shows the temperature. It´s helpful in bus stops.

It´s easy to read, I think it´s easier to read in lower case.

The long shape of the letters and their disposition makes it look old, It has also an italic typeface.

It combines a retro script with a serif, which also looks retro, I like this combination of two different typefaces.

Dedication panel to Gregorio Marañón.




This type looks very old, and I thin it adds a touch of greatness to a panel in honor of a famous character.

The this type I think it´s retro because of the angles in the corners of the letters, also the letter A  has a weird inclination.

This book is quite old, so the typography in the cover is old too, I think that serif and all the gold used makes it more retro, the height of the type and the thins and thicks makes it look retro too.

I find this typography retro, and I think that as a candy store the owners want to transmit some nostalgia for people to remember their childhoods.

Almost all the typography on the ground that I found was in escalators.

It is from a Mall. It is quite big and it´s used to clean a bit the shoes of the people that come into the centre.

The letters of the streets are longer than normal. That is for being more easy to read whit the perspective.

The typography and logo of this bottle wants to transmit vitality and freshness with the colors used.

A characteristic of Apple products is the simplicity of their designs, and that it can be appreciated in the packaging. It does not have lots of details and the typography is use just for indicate the most important things about the product.

All products of KIKO have the same type of packaging, a box in a matt black color and white sans serif typography.

FIRST WEEK: SANS-SERIF

Day 7.
Restaurant sign.




The red font used in this sign is called papyrus. Some time ago I discovered that this font is being hated for many people who know a bit about design. That is because It became over used, like helvetica and comic sans. Also I find it quite ugly and not easy to read.

Eye pencil:




It might be a small object but I think the typography is used  very well in this eye pencil. The silver color also helps but what I think it makes it special is the big size of the fonts and how thin they are.

This little part of the poster attracted my attention, specially the distribution of the letters and how the words are not too much long so they fit great in the circle.

This text is posted on the pavement near to Plaza Mayor and talks about the french occupation in the 19th century.The typography used makes it easy to read.

I really like the Nivea logo, specially the "N". This reminds me of the first picture, where the main brand logo is written in bold and capital letters and the specification of the product is in a hand-made typography.

Shopping bag:




This kind of brands with a basic sans-serif logo is very common nowadays in clothing shops, it transmits youth and affordable prices in their products. The application of the typographic logo makes it look almost like a texture.

The brand of the machine is in a bold sans-serif font with capital letters, and the model of machine is written in a less serious mode, only the first letter is a capital letter and is a script.
